Dudley Borough Covid Screening in Community Pharmacies

Covid 19 symptom free (lateral flow Covid 19 tests)

Symptom-free, lateral flow tests are for key workers * with public facing jobs  who live or work in Dudley borough and for people who have regular contact with vulnerable groups e.g. those who are clinically extremely vulnerable, over 70s, pregnant women etc. (and cannot access the tests through their employer) .This also includes people who are in social care bubbles or are informal carers.

*Key workers – people who have public facing jobs and provide a service to people outside of their own household are advised to get a test. This would include but not exclusive to: carers, shop workers, delivery drivers, taxi drivers, cleaners, utilities, tradespeople, those working in places of worship, voluntary, community settings etc.

Key workers are being encouraged to access the lateral flow testing offer twice a week wherever possible.

The tests are available by appointment only and are for people who are completely symptom free.  If you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus:

  • a new, continuous cough

  • a high temperature

  • a loss or change to your sense of smell

  • or if you feel unwell for any other reason you must book a standard COVID test at one of the borough's testing sites.

You must only get a symptom-free test if you feel completely well and have no symptoms at all.

If you feel unwell but are not displaying the usual symptoms of coronavirus, you must book a standard COVID test and not a symptom-free test. You can do this by selecting the following on the online form: "My local council or health protection team has asked me (or someone I live with) to get a test, even though I do not have symptoms."

Make an appointment at your local pharmacy, below, for a symptom-free, lateral flow COVID test. This service  is available to adults and children over 11 years of age meeting the above criteria.
